How to Create Your Own Tags to Search and Schedule Recipes

Tags are a way to label and organize your recipes to make them easier to search for in your recipe box. While we provide some tags to get you started, you can add as many as you like.

Mobile app users: Tags can only be added through our website at this time. You can use your phone's web browser to access our website at realplans.com.

Open a recipe card:

  • Click on the recipe from your Meal Planner or Recipe Box

Add a tag:

  • Click the + under the TAGS area
  • From the dropdown menu, click on the tag that you want to add

Create a tag:

  • Click the + under the TAGS area
  • In the dropdown box, select Manage tags
  • In the pop up box, type the name of the tag you want to create
  • Click +
  • The new tag will appear in the TAGS section of the recipe card for that recipe
    • Once you create a tag, it will appear in the dropdown list and can be used to tag other recipes

Remove a tag from a recipe card:

  • Tags that you have added to a recipe card can be removed by clicking the X next to the tag
  • Tags that do not have an X cannot be removed 

Remove a custom tag from the Tags list:

  • Click the + under the TAGS area
  • In the dropdown box, select Manage tags
  • Click the X next to the tag you want to remove from the list
  • Confirm that you want to remove the tag permanently
    • The tag will be removed from the list and from any of the recipe cards to which it was applied
