How to Manage Your Shops and Ingredients in the Mobile App

Manage your shops

Keeping your list of favorite stores up to date on your Shopping List will help keep you organized and make grocery shopping easier.

If you are using the mobile app, you will follow the steps below. If you are using the website, please click here.

  • Click on the shopping cart icon to open your Shopping List 
  • Click on the icon with 3 horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the screen
  • Click Manage Delivery/Shops
  • To add a new shop:
    • Click Add new shop
    • Enter the name of the shop
    • Click Save
  • To rename your default shop, swipe left
  • To remove a shop you will need to log into the website

Manage your ingredients

For each ingredient, you can choose the store where you would like to purchase it and the department of the store where you'll find it.

  • Open your Shopping List
  • Click on the ingredient
  • Add or edit any details for that ingredient
    • Update the image
    • Quantity needed
    • Unit of measure
    • The category in which the ingredient appears
      • Note: the Produce category has 2 subcategories: Refrigerated and Non-refrigerated that you can choose between
    • The shop where you will purchase the ingredient
    • Schedule the frequency that you want to purchase that ingredient
    • Make a note
    • Indicate that you always have that ingredient on hand
    • Note: changes made here will not make changes to the recipe(s) for which the ingredient is used
  • Click Save

Pro tip: If an item is something that is always stocked in your pantry (for example, salt), you can check the box for Always Have It. This will automatically move the ingredient to your Already have list when it appears in a recipe.

 

Manage scheduled ingredients 

If you frequently purchase the same item and want it to be automatically scheduled at regular intervals, you can set that up as well.

  • Open your Shopping List
  • Click on the icon with 3 horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the screen
  • Click Manage scheduled ingredients/staples
  • Use the search box to find the item you would like to schedule at regular intervals
    • To add an item that is not shown in the search results, enter the item name and click the + to the right of the search box
  • Select the buying interval for that item to schedule the frequency that you want to purchase that ingredient
    • You can also make any other edits desired for that item
  • Click Add scheduled ingredient

Manage your food categories

You can also specify the store where you would like to purchase all of the the items in a category.

  • Open your Shopping List
  • Click on the i next to the category you would like to assign to a different store
  • Select the store where you will purchase all of the ingredients in that category
